The Penacony region, added in Honkai Star Rail’s 2.0 update, is filled with hidden quests, collectibles, and exclusive achievements. One such hidden quest is associated with a mysterious NPC named Oro, Ace Gambler whom you can find in Golden Hour which is the first Dreamscape you enter after arriving in the new region. Here’s how you can get the secret Honkai Star Rail quest and complete it to snag the ‘Every Gambler Has Their Excuses’ achievement.
How Do I Unlock and Complete the Oro, Ace Gambler Quest in Honkai Star Rail?
To get the quest, you need to first meet with the special NPC named Oro, Ace Gambler. He can be found by a slot machine surrounded by people in Aideen Park which lies in the northwest area of Golden Hour, Penacony.
Talk to him and select the ‘Listen’ option to initiate the quest. This will trigger a cutscene and at the end of it, he will ask you to play a hand at the slot machine. Here, interact with the slot machine and use a token to win a prize. Then, talk to Oro again and leave the area.
Now, to go along with the quest, you need to head over to the Dream’s Edge region. Teleport to the Shape of Roast Stagnant Shadow waypoint and here, you will find Oro in an injured state. Here, talk with him and agree to help him to receive the Ace Gambler’s Discarded Part mission item.
After acquiring the Discarded Part, you need to head back to Golden Hour where you had met Oro for the first time. Once again, talk to him and exhaust all dialogues until all the NPCs surrounding him leave.
Now you need to head to the Oti Mall waypoint in Golden Hour and speak with Ferdinand. Select the ‘Do you know the Ace Gambler?’ dialogue and that will finish the quest and reward you all the associated rewards.
Oro, Ace Gambler Quest Rewards
This hidden Honkai Star Rail quest rewards you with the following things upon completion:
- Ace Gambler’s Precious Part mission item (Ferdinand gives you this after taking the ‘Discarded Part’)
- Every Gambler Has Their Excuses achievement (& 5 Stellar Jades associated with it)
- No Signal sticker (for your Dreamscape Pass)
