The Energy Conversion mod in Warframe is a unique Ability Strength-granting mod that is based on a condition– you have to pick up energy orbs to get the +50% Strength bonus. Also, it’s a mod that’s gated behind Cephalon Simaris standing. So, it’s not particularly easy to get your hands on it.
However, considering its strong niche, the Energy Conversion mod is a great addition to some of your Warframes. So, here’s our guide on how to get it and its viability in different builds.

How to Get the Energy Conversion Mod in Warframe
Cephalon Simaris standing
You can acquire the Energy Conversion mod for 100,000 standing at Cephalon Simaris.
While the amount seems like a lot, you can farm Simaris standing with relative ease if you focus on the Daily Synthesis targets, and make scanning a part of your in-game activities.
Note: Invisible frames like Loki and Ash make scanning targets a trivial job, even on Steel Path missions. So, having these frames modded for long Ability Duration can make your task quite easy.
Trading
As always, you can purchase the mod from other players with Plats to bypass the Simaris standing grind. Energy Conversion usually trades for around 50 Platinum on Warframe.Market.

Which Warframes Do Benefit the Most from Energy Conversion?
As a rule of thumb, you should be using Energy Conversion on Warframes who can reliably spawn energy orbs, and of course, make good use of the Ability Strength granted by it.
Nekros (Shadows of the Dead Build)
Nekros can reliably spawn a lot of energy orbs with his Desecrate ability, which synergizes well with the Shadows of the Dead build. The extra Ability Strength makes your summoned units tankier and do more damage.
Ember
Ember with her Exothermic augment spawns a lot of Energy Orbs from enemies killed by her Inferno. Combining this with Energy Conversion helps you make use of this build’s excellent energy economy to get more Ability Strength.
While the above two are the most common, I have also experimented with Energy Conversion on Hildryn, Voruna, Protea, Nezha, and Gara (with her Spectrosiphon augment) with moderate success.
