How Do I Get the Rolling Guard Mod in Warframe?
You can buy the Rolling Guard mod for 20 Vitus Essence from the Arbitration vendor in the Arbiters of Hexis syndicate room in any relay.
You can farm Vitus Essence by simply playing the Arbitration missions. Each rotation of an Arbitration mission rewards you one Vitus Essence at the bare minimum, and a 7% chance to drop three more as part of the drop table. The Arbitration Shield Drones that you encounter in those missions also have a 6% chance to drop one Vitus Essence when killed. All things combined, if you grind a few Arbitration runs, it should not take long to amass the 20 Vitus Essences you need for buying Rolling Guard.
Once bought, you need 30,690 Endo and roughly 1.5 million Credits to get the mod to its max rank. While the Endo requirement is steep, you should already have a fair bit from the Arbitration missions you played since they are one of the best sources of Endo in Warframe.

How Do I Roll in Warframe?
You can roll by tapping the Sprint button (default is ‘Shift’ on PC).
With the Rolling Guard mod equipped, this cleanses any status effects on your frame and gives you a 3-second invulnerability window with a 7-second cooldown (at maxed mod level).
Adaptation vs Rolling Guard: Which Is the Best Survivability Mod for Your Warframe?
Adaptation and Rolling Guard, both of these mods aid in your Warframe’s durability. However, the choice between the two boils down to a few different factors:
- If you want to tank with your health and armor, Adaptation serves you better since it grants you a stacking damage resistance bonus. However, Rolling Guard shines if you want to utilize the shield-gating mechanic.
- Rolling Guard is dependent on a more active playstyle where you are monitoring your HP/Shield bar and status effects and dodge-rolling at opportune moments. Adaptation lets you simply play the game without focusing on any of that.
- For long Steel Path endurance runs, Rolling Guard is by far the most viable option, especially when you incorporate the roll with shield-gating. In those missions, a big burst of damage can instantly kill you before damage resistance from Adaptation begins to stack up.
