It is that time of the year when lot of studios have come up with the 2024 plans for their key games, and the latest one to join this is Bethesda – for their marquee 2023 release Starfield. In a blog, the studio listed out key infographics for the player count and experience for the current year on Starfield, and pretty extensive plans for the coming year, and we have got all the details covered below
2023 Starfield Key Stats
- 13 million players – their biggest launch in history.
- A total of 2 billion planets visited
- 40 hours average play time per user
2024 Plans & Roadmap
- Updates every six weeks starting February
- New customizable difficulty options and survival mechanics
- Official mod support through a new Creation kit from early next year
- Shattered Space DLC with new content, locations, gear and more sometime next year
It is great to see this from the studio, especially from the team that has been able to change the early negative feedback around Fallout 76 and make it a significantly improved experience today with a clear plan for the coming year as well . The Creation kit is also something that would be eagerly welcomed by the community- this has been a core reason why games like Fallout, Skyrim have sustained popularity even after all these years. Expansions and DLCs also serve as a great way to add back significantly to the game experience – like what Phantom Liberty did for Cyberpunk 2077.
