As per the latest announcement from Insomniac Games on X, the new game plus addition to Spider-Man 2 will happen by early 2024. The game, that was launched on 20th October this year and opened to great reviews does not currently have a new game plus mode.
The studio, in the same announcement also promised that the update will be a comprehensive update and that they “will be adding some highly requested features, including the ability to change the time of day, swap tendril colors, and replay missions – just to name a few!” This looks to be a good thing as it shows that the devs have been listening and responding to user and community feedback. The patch released in Nov earlier this year should also give a lot of hope – as it addressed several bugs and technical issues that the players experienced in the game.
Spider-Man 2 has since it’s launch gone on to become one of the most highly rated and successful games for PS5 – it sold more than 5 million copies in the first 11 days of it’s launch
