Lords Of The Fallen, an action RPG souls-like has a lot of things going for it – one being the variety of builds possible, thanks to the various parts like weapons, armour, pendants and rings that you can customize, and the wide choice of options available for each. In this article, we have put together the best Agility build in Lords Of The Fallen -this build has a few components to piece together – but when the build is in place it can wipe off chunks of the enemy health bar effortlessly, and is a fun build to play the game with.

Starting Class

Starting Classes are important to the extent that they help you survive the initial couple of areas – after that you can mould the character in a direction of your choosing. There are 3 classes in Lords Of The Fallen with a clear bent towards Agility – the Blackfeather Ranger, the Mournstead Infantry and the Exiled Stalker. The Exiled Stalker comes fully dedicated to Agility with 16 points put here at the cost of everything else, and has dual-wielding daggers as the starting weapon. The Blackfeather Ranger is more of a balanced class with 13 points to Agility and 11 to Strength, and comes equipped with an axe and more importantly, a bow. The Mournstead Infantry has a sheild and spear as the starting weapon set and 14 points in Agility. Our recommended starting class, especially if this is your first playthrough, however is the Hallowed Knight – for the following reasons: 1)It comes equipped with a good armor set ; 2) The starting stat distribution to Endurance helps multiple swipes of the weapon before you run out of stamina; 3) The sword and shield is probably the easiest combination to get used to, and are also pretty decent; 4) With the starting stat distribution, you can allocate your initial few points to Vitality and then Agility. However, for purely role-playing purpose and especially if you are in your second walkthrough – the Exiled Stalker with a dual-build set up and its full commitment to Agility makes it the best starting class for a Dual Wield focused build in Lords Of The Fallen

Weapons

Early Game

You will get the Hallowed Condemnation very early own in the first half an hour of the game as you go through Abandoned Redcopse. It is a very handy weapons that scales both off Strength and Agility (your points in Strength will help your cause at this time, and also inflicts bleed). This and your starting weapon will form the dual wield combination for early game.

Early / Mid Game

The great thing about this build is that the two weapons, the spell, and the catalyst for the spell can all be found within the first few areas of the game, and you can have the set up that will carry you through for the entire game in place. Kukajin’s Sword and Bloodlust will form our dual wield combination. Kukajin’s Sword is found in the Forsaken Fen area – you will have to let go of the Kukajin NPC questline since you will be killing her the first time you come across her, but you can complete the quest in one of your later playthroughs if you are gunning for the trophy / achievement. The Bloodlust can be found after defeating Crimson Rectal Percival, the boss at the end of Fitzroy’s Gorge area in a chest ahead. Kukajin’s Sword starts with a C- scaling on Agility and inflicts Poison and Bleed status; while Bloodlust starts with a C scaling in Agility (and Inferno); and inflicts Burn and Bleed status, also healing you with each enemy kill!

We will also use the Umbral Catalyst – Charm Of Fortune’s Sight and the spell Poison Weapon , both of which can be purchased from Molhu at Skyrest. The last part required to complete the build is the Bloodbane Ring which is found just ahead of the Vestige Of The Pale Butcher ( after defeating the Hushed Saint) in Forsaken Fen.

Damage Multiplier With Poison, Bleed & Burn Status

So how the build works is, we cast Poison Weapon with the catalyst and keep it active all the time (or when facing a tough enemy section, or a boss fight) – with the dual wield weapons inflicting multiple hits quickly, and the inherent poison buildup effect in Kukajin’s Sword, you will inflict poison on enemies in no time. Now, the Bloodbane Ring has the effect of causing bleed wherever there is poison buildup – so, your enemies will have poison and bleed! Add the burn status inflicted by Bloodlust, your enemies will soon be suffering multiple status effects – poison, bleed and burn! To take this even further, if you equip the Pendant Of Burden; it causes additional damage for every status inflicted upon enemy – and here we have 3 status effects! And this combination – is the game on easy mode as you destroy bosses in no time with this combination

Stat Allocation & Progress

This is how your stat allocation should progress over the game

StatsStarting level (Level 10)Level 40Level 75Level 100
Strength12121212
Agility8153156
Endurance15213030
Vitality11203030
Radiance9121212
Inferno8131313
  • Focus on increasing Vitality and Endurance to a level you are comfortable with till level 40. This is going to be an up close melee attacking build, and you will need the health and stamina early on since you will be out powered against tough enemies and bosses.
  • As you near level 40, get your Inferno & Radiance to 13 and 12 respectively – this is required for wielding the catalyst, and Bloodlust
  • From level 40 to 75, keep alternating between 1 point to Agility and 1 between Endurance and Vitality everytime you level up, and get Endurance and Vitality to 30.
  • From 75 onwards, you can start investing heavily into Agility, however by end game if you feel the need you can put aside 5 points for Endurance and Vitality.

Armour

Armour needs to suit two things – the resistances and defence, but also – fashion souls! that is, you need to look good slaying enemies when you are slaying enemies. Any of the medium armour sets – including the starting class armour sets that you can acquire can work here – the Blackfeather Ranger set for example. Or, if you want something really out there – the Fetid Sacrifice Set or the Infernal Enchantress set can be a good bet here.

Runes

Runes add the perfect finishing touches in end-game to optimize your build. For this build, we have two options – Dimexus which increases physical damage when dual-wielding or Akus which reduces Stamina cost of attacks.

And there you have it … the dual wield agility based and status effects based build in Lords Of The Fallen. If you want to explore other builds, you can look at our Strength build or Inferno build. Lords Of The Fallen, developed by Hexworks has enjoyed a good run since its launch, in particular with an ambitious content development plan for the year announced by the developer also helping the cause.
