Lords Of The Fallen gives you several options in terms of stats – Strength, Radiance, Inferno and Agility to base your build around. The range of weapons, armour, pendants and rings make this an even more customizable and fine-tuned build. In this article, we have put together the best Inferno build in Lords Of The Fallen – if you are in the mood to melt enemies with fire and ignite in this game, you have come to just the right place to get you started!

Starting Class

Starting Classes help you for the initial few battles in the game, as you progress; you can allocate points to stats of your own choosing and are not restricted by your choice of the starting class. However, if you are clear about an Inferno based walkthrough – either the Pyric Cultist is the best choice – you come equipped with a Catalyst, very handy spells that can actually carry you through the entire game and cool-looking armour that fits the Inferno build perfectly! The only slight downside is the relatively low Vitality attribute – which you can focus on levelling up in early game. Also, since you will be firing away your spells from a distance, this is not a big deal

Stat Allocation & Progress

This is how your stat allocation should progress over the game

StatsStarting level (Level 10)Level 40Level 75Level 100
Strength9999
Agility8888
Endurance11253030
Vitality9203035
Radiance8888
Inferno18234363
  • Focus on increasing Vitality and Endurance to a level you are comfortable with , and put the balance points in Inferno till level 40. This is when you are at your weakest, and hence the extra support required on these two stats initially
  • Endurance is required because by the time you hit anywhere between 40-45 level; you will come across the weapon that we will use till the end of the game (more on that below); this is a heavy weapon and hence will need points invested in Endurance to be able to keep the equip load Medium.
  • At level 75, with a high Inferno and most weapons also properly upgraded, you would be dishing out high damage, and you can go back to investing a few points in Vitality – we recommend taking it up to 35 – and again go back to Inferno and push it beyond 60.

Weapons

Early game:

We will dual wield the Raw Mangler Axe – it scales with Inferno, has no other stat requirement, does fire damage, and can be obtained in the very first area of the game! The first is a confirmed loot that drops when you go into Umbral mode around the area where you encounter the Skeleton who wields a two-handed sword and throws out fire darts. For the second one, you need to farm it from the Raw Mangler enemies who have this weapon equipped. There is an easy farm route where you run across three of these enemies : Start from the Vestige Of Marco The Axe, and you will have one enemy right there along with a witch. Go into Umbral mode, descend down the lake which is now empty, take the stairs up and you will face two enemies in this area. Remember to kick down the plank to unlock the shortcut back to the Vestige, so that you don’t need to go into Umbral again for your next round of farming.

Mid To End Game

This one weapon will carry you right through the game effortlessly. The Fallen Lord’s Sword – a Grand Sword type weapon, weighs 42.3 – does split Physical and Fire damage, and 300 Ignite! This is incredibly useful when surrounded by mobs – the ignite damage has an AoE that wipes off a good chunk of all enemies caught within it. The path is a bit complicated, we have put up the path here:

Steps to follow to obtain the Fallen Lords’ Sword

  • Start from the Vestige of Lydia the Numb Witch
  • Go to the bottom of the area where you have a set of explosive mines
  • Defeat the Trapper enemy down the road (who shoots fire darts with a crossbow)
  • Take the left and keep going up, over the brick path to the other roof, down the ladder to a big bonfire area
  • Go around the bonfire, and into Umbral mode, where you will see a ladder that you can now access
  • Climb the ladder to obtain the weapon from a corpse

Catalyst

The Searing Accusation can be also be obtained very early in the game -you will however be required to hand it over to the Tortured Prisoner to free her – and this is important as we will be going to her for a lot of the best Inferno spells, armor and rings. She will hand over this Catalyst to you eventually as you progress her quest around mid-game, and you will be good to go for the rest of the game.

Spells

There are a lot of flashy spells available through purchasing it from the Tortured Prisoner or Damarose and also through certain boss remembrances. Over here, we have put up what we used in our Inferno build walkthrough and were just great in devastating difficult enemies and bosses

5 Best Inferno spells in Lords Of The Fallen

Adyr’s Hardiness60A shout sorcery which allows you to summon the hardiness of Adyr within yourself, increasing your defence and resistances
Infernal Weapon60Plunge your weapon into the earth and imbue it with fire
Seismic Slam66Summon an infernal hammer to strike the ground, sending forth a line of explosions
Infernal Orb13Hurl an orb of fire
  • Infernal Orb, your starting spell will be your basic go-to spell, it does great damage at negligible mana cost, and is more than enough to wipe out your standard mobs and enemies
  • Seismic Slam helps big time in tight corridors, and although it comes at decent mana cost, it can destroy tough enemy types in a couple of hits
  • Adyr’s Rage and Adyr’s Hardiness are great buffs just before a boss fight and last for a pretty good period of time; and Infernal Weapon adds to your weapons’ fire damage.

Pendants & Rings

Pendant

The Hysteria Pendant – obtained from Winterberry in Revelation Depths – increases spellpower, and is the best pendant to equip for an Inferno build. In case you find using your melee weapons more and want something that helps there , either Rhogar’s Delight – which increases fire damage, or the Warrior’s Claw – which increases physical damage and defense are good options to equip.

Rings

Lords Of The Fallen gives several options to slot in the 2 Ring options that you have, and you can keep changing them depending upon the area / type of enemy. For instance for Ring slots, when running through an area, you can have the Ring of Nourishment equipped so that your health gets replenished with each kill, while when fighting a boss you can have the Mineowner’s Ring or the Ring of Bones equipped to help you manage Stamina.

RingEffects
Mineowner’s RingIncreases maximum stamina and stamina regeneration rate
Queen Verena II’s RingHealth regenerates over time
Ring Of NourishmentRegain health on killing an enemy

Armour

Armour in Lords Of The Fallen serves two purposes – the one being protection, defence and resistances against enemy attacks and damage types, and also – fashion-souls! It helps if you destroy enemies, but it also helps if you destroy enemies in style! and the armour you equip will go a long way in this. The starting set does admirably in the fashion-souls part, as you look every bit the Pyric Cultist. As you progress in the game, you should keep your eye out for the J’deyl Bone Armour in the Fief of the Chill Curse Area, it is a heavy armor set, and goes with the Inferno build look perfectly.

Runes

Runes in Lords Of The Fallen are the best way to max out your build. The best ones for an Inferno build are Tianarx – which increases fire damage and Dhalwe – which increases Inferno attribute scaling. These particularly come into play in end-game once you have upgraded your weapon and put substantial points into Inferno. Also, don’t forget that shields can also be upgraded and runes can be slotted – the effects apply even if you don’t have the required stat attributes! So it makes a lot of sense to keep a shield equipped – irrespective of whether you use it or not.

So there you have it – the ultimate Inferno build in Lords Of The Fallen. We had a great time completing the game with this build – it is our favorite among all that we played the game with! In case you want to check out a different build, you can try our best Strength build for the game. The Lords Of The Fallen, released in Oct 2023 by Hexworks has been a good addition to the souls-like genre of action RPGs. The game currently sits at a Metacritic rating of Generally Favorable.
