In a significant patch update to be rolled out on December 19th, FromSoft will allow players battle each other in ranked online matchmaking with a leaderboard for players to ascend to the top. The patch also talks about new PVP maps and the option to personalize your nameplate.
While we await further details, the 4 things that are mentioned in the trailer are
- Conquer new PVP maps.
- Personalize your nameplate.
- Ascend the leaderboards.
- Dominate in ranked matchmaking.
Armored Core 6 was launched earlier this year in Aug for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series S/X. It was received quite well and sits at a score of 86 on Metacritic. The game also won The Best Action Game Of The Year at Game Awards 2023. This was a return to a different kind of game for developer FromSoft, coming on the back of their immensely successful Elden Ring the year before.
This is just the kind of surprise that would get the fans (including myself) excited to get back into the game and boot up those mechs and see how far can I make it in the leaderboards!
