The Honkai Star Rail 2.0 update is now available for pre-download. With just a day left for the update to bring the new additions to the game, HoYoverse gives you a chance to already keep the game downloaded so that you don’t waste time downloading the huge game files and can dive straight into the game once it is released.

Honkai Star Rail 2.0 Pre-Installation Size and System Requirement
You can pre-download the 2.0 update for any of the platforms you play Honkai Star Rail on. You need to have as much as 16.5 GB of space on your PC to pre-install the game and as much as 12.5 GB for iOS or Android phones. While the space requirement for Android will be a little less than 12 GB, it is always good to be on the safer side and keep additional space in your mobile devices.
The amount of space the game takes on your phone also depends on the packages you have downloaded. The more packages you download, the more space will be required on your devices. Here is the system requirement to download Honkai Star Rail for mobile devices:
- Andriod: Snapdragon 835, Dimensity 720, Kirin 810, or above.
- iPhone: iPhone 8, iPhone X, or above.
- iPad: Apple A12 processor or at least iOS 12 or above

How to Pre-Download Honkai Star Rail 2.0 Update
HoYoverse has opened the pre-download of the Honkai Star Rail 2.0 update. You can follow the steps given below to download the update for PC and mobile devices.
For PC
- Open the game client on your PC.
- You will see a pop-up that says “Get Pre-Installation”. Click on that button on the pop-up box that appears right in front of you.
- Click on “Confirm” to start the pre-download of the 2.0 update.
For Android and iOS
The pre-installation process for mobile devices is also very easy. You just have to follow the steps given below:
- Open the game on your Android and iOS devices.
- Click on the “Resource Pre-Download” option that appears on the bottom right side of the login screen.
- Click on the “Confirm” option to download the 2.0 version update.
You can choose to skip pre-downloading the game but it is always recommended so that you don’t have to waste your time after the maintenance servers are back.
