Cross-Naginata
The Cross-Naginata is a sturdy option for a quality build – it scales off and has similar requirements in both Strength and Dexterity. The weapon comes with a decent moveset and a passive bleed build up as well.

Cross-Naginata Location
The Cross-Naginata is located in the Gael Tunnel – which can be accessed by going southwards from the Rotview Balcony Site of Grace. Once inside the tunnel and having activated the Gael Tunnel Site of Grace, move downwards to a room with several Land- Octopuses. The Cross-Naginata will be lying on a corpse next to the Giant Land Octopus.
Death’s Poker
Though it does not look like it, Death’s Poker is a Greatsword, and a pretty good one at that. It does split physical and magic damage, and also has a frost build up effect. The weapon, as expected, scales off Strength, Dexterity and Intelligence. It also has a great and unique Weapon Art going for it. All in all, a solid option for mid to end game.

The Death’s Poker drops off the Death Rite Bird boss which spawns at night time south-east of Southern Aeonia Swamp Site of Grace
Flamberge
The Flamberge, a staple of the Souls games is as reliable as it ever was in other games to serve as a perfect option to power stance greatswords, or to do great damage wielding it alone two-handed. The weapon comes with a passive bleed build up as well. And as always, looks awesome when taking apart enemies.

Flamberge Location
The Flamberge is located in Redmane Castle. To obtain the Flamberge, approach the castle from the back, up the rampart and defeat / get around the Pumpkin Head. This will become inaccessible when the Radahn Festival is ongoing and hence needs to be obtained either before the festival starts or after defeating Starscourge Radahn.
Gargoyle’s Blackblade
Gargoyle’s Blackblade is a Greatsword that scales off Faith, Strength and Dexterity and has a unique Weapon Art that launches a projectile in front and does decent damage. The weapon does split physical and holy damage and is upgraded using Somber Smithing Stones.

The weapon is upgraded using Somber Smithing Stones – however there are better options to be had in the Halberd category of weapons than this one – the Nightrider Glaive or the Golden Halberd being solid alternatives.

Godslayer’s Greatsword Location
The Godslayer’s Greatsword is found in the Divine Tower of Caelid, and drops off the Godskin Apostle boss found at the very end of a classic Souls-like platforming route across narrow ledges with enemies waiting to push you off.
Greatsword
The Greatsword, or the Guts Greatsword as it is known popularly in the community from the obvious inspiration it takes; is one of the most popular weapons – if there is a strength build being worked upon; high chances that it would revolve around this weapon. What also works is that you can get your hands on this one pretty early and start investing into upgrading this weapon.

Greatsword Location
Start from the Smouldering Church Site of Grace (which is east of Stormhill Shack); and keep travelling East along the main road. The Greatsword will be found in a chest at the back of a carriage lying on the road – but surrounded by giant zombie dogs. Avoid them and get the sword quickly, or lure them away from the carriage on horseback and then make a quick dash to get your hands on the Greatsword
Katar
Katar is a Fist type weapon which scales equally of Dexterity and Strength, and is a good choice if you feel the urge to step close to the enemy and start slashing and piercing away at a super quick rate. However, it does not add any passive bleed buildup and there are better options available than this

Lusat’s Glintstone Staff
The Lusat’s Glintstone Staff is a great choice for the dedicated spellcaster – it has a steep requirement but starts off with a B scaling and hits S scaling on just a + 3 – that too by Somber Smithing Stones. It enhances power of all sorceries but consumes more FP in return.

Meteoric Ore Blade
The Meteoric Ore Blade is a Katana that scales with Intelligence in addition to Dexterity and Strength … and if it were not overshadowed by the next weapon on this list; it would have made a pretty decent weapon for a Dexterity + Intelligence build – with a passive bleed build up as well

Meteoric Ore Blade Location
The Meteoric Ore Blade is found in a chest in an underground room filled with those pesky web-slinging Kindred of Rot enemies in Caelid Waypoint Ruins. The ruins can be reached by following the main road in Caelid southwards.
Moonveil
Aah … the Moonveil. The preferred choice for a lot of players – it scales with Intelligence allowing you to use the vast array of spells, and it has one of the most devastating Weapon Arts across any weapon in the game – it shoots of a wave of light that can destroy mobs and even bosses in a few hits. Oh and did we mention it has bleed build up as well?

Moonveil Location
The Moonveil is obtained by defeating the Magma Wyrm boss at the very end of Gael Tunnel. The tunnel is located at the boundary of Limgrave and Caelid, and can be accessed by travelling south of the Shack of Rotting Site of Grace
Nox Flowing Sword
A Curved Sword weapon type, the Nox Flowing Sword is overshadowed by better alternatives in the category and does not have any distinguishing characteristic in terms of moveset or status effect. It does have a unique Weapon Art that makes the sword turn into a whip and add some range to its attacks

Regalia of Eochaid

The weapon is located at the end of the Gaol Cave in Caelid, and can be accessed by defeating the Frenzied Duelist boss and proceeding ahead to emerge from the other side of the cave – which opens into Limgrave.
Ruins Greatsword
The Ruins Greatsword is a Colossal Sword that does split physical and magic damage. It is a set of the Legendary Armaments and has a unique Weapon Art which sends forth a wave of destruction that deals a good deal of AoE damage.

Ruins Greatsword Location
The Ruins Greatsword drops after defeating the Misbegotten Warrior and Crucible Knight just ahead of the Redmane Castle Plaza Site of Grace. This cannot be accessed when the Redmane Festival is going on and hence needs to be done either before that or after defeating Starscourge Radahn and asking Witch-Hunter Jerren to reset the area.
Sword of St. Trina
Again, a weapon with a unique Weapon Art that inflicts the sleep effect on enemies, the Sword of St. Trina is a straight sword that does split physical and magic damage and scales with Strength, Dexterity and Intelligence with pretty low stat requirements in each of these.

Sword of St. Trina Location
From the Rotview Balcony Site of Grace, proceed towards the Forsaken Ruins, you will come across a white fog door that requires 1 Stonesword key to unlock. Enter the underground area to obtain the weapon.

The Serpent Bow is a decent and nasty looking bow that scales with Strength, Dexterity and Arcane and adds a base buildup of poison to all arrows

The Staff Of Loss is a Glintstone Staff that scales off Strength, Intelligence and Dexterity and is most potent when performing invisibility sorceries like Night Shard and Night Comet.

Staff Of Loss Location
