Ubisoft announced today through a post in social media; that the upcoming FPS ‘XDefiant’ has been delayed indefinitely due to issues that apparently came to light recently.
The message, put out on X (formerly known as Twitter); read that in the recent public test session; “It also surfaced some inconsistencies in the game experience that we need to address prior to launching our Preseason. So we’ve made the hard decision to delay the Preseason of XDefiant”
There is no timeline that has been indicated, and the message ends with a commitment to “address these issues” and “We will share more information about Preseason and testing as it comes”
XDefiant is being developed by Ubisoft San Francisco; and was announced first way back in July 2021; and the release window mentioned on the official website says Summer 2023.
The game will feature Arena modes where players compete for territorial control; Progression Modes & Maps from diverse locations in popular Ubisoft worlds. It is to be released on PC through Ubisoft Connect, PS5 & Xbox Series S/X.
