The Thaumaturge, which had its release date initially set to February 20, has been pushed to a March 4 launch. Announced through a Steam post on the game’s official page, this delay is meant to provide “more breathing room” to the upcoming isometric RPG.

The Thaumaturge is a story-focused turn-based RPG with supernatural elements set in early 20th-century Warsaw, developed by Fool’s Theory who are also working on The Witcher Remake. Work on the game is complete according to the post, and this delay is more of a strategic decision to make sure “it receives the attention” the makers believe it deserves.

However, they also state,

“The additional time we’re getting will be used to polish the game further so that your journey through the streets of 1905 Warsaw is even more enjoyable.”

While reviews for The Thaumaturge are not out yet, previews from a wide gamut of gaming websites suggest it’s a thrilling isometric RPG fusing historic and supernatural elements.

As for the game’s publisher 11 bit studios, they have Frostpunk 2 slated for release in the first half of 2024.

The Thaumaturge is coming out on March 4, 2024, on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.
