Remnant 2 received the much sought-after crossplay support today along with the return of the fan-favorite Aberration Domination event and a plethora of balance changes and bugfixes through patch 408,516.

Now, you can join your friends across PC, Xbox Series X|S, or PS5 in Gunfire Games’ Soulslike shooter. However, the crossplay support on PC currently has one caveat: the developers warned that “frame generation currently blocks the Epic Online Services Overlay, which is required for Crossplay functionality of joining friends.” Until that is fixed, you’d have to jump through hoops of disabling your frame gen setting before inviting or joining your friend on console.

The returning Aberration Domination event is live now until March 5. The devs mention new corrupted weapons being available and you’ll be able to farm Corrupted Shards in the event to “craft corrupted versions of some NEW special weapons.”

The balance changes are set to prepare the stage for the second DLC, which incidentally has no release date yet. However, both the second and the third DLCs are slated to be released this year. So, I expect to hear some official information about its launch soon.
