In a blog, Fallout 76 makers revealed that there is a brand new map expansion coming sometime in 2024 towards the south into the heart of Virginia called Shenandoah – which will have its own questline, factions and rewards

It then talked about the planned second instalment in Atlantic City with new story driven quests, areas, rewards and a chance to ‘confront the legendary Jersey Devil’ . It then went on to announce the expansion, saying “Later in 2024, we’re expanding our map southward, deep into the wooded heartland of Shenandoah. This uncharted, once-tranquil expanse in the heart of Virginia will bring a new questline, factions and rewards.”

The blog then went on to acknowledge the strength of the Fallout 76 community with 17 million players having experienced the game – a truly remarkable feat, considering how the game was taken apart at the time of launch for it’s broken gameplay, zero NPCs, framerate dips and game breaking bugs. However, over a period of time, with successive patches and expansions, the game has redeemed itself and looks to be going strong.

The Fallout universe is also going to get a substantial addition with the TV series scheduled to premier on Apr 12, 2024. It is also helmed by the makers of Westworld with a stellar cast.
