Matt Firor, Zenimax Online Studio director, has put out plans to take up a year-long celebration for the 10th anniversary of Elder Scrolls Online. The game was launched on Apr 2014 for PC and June 2015 for consoles…and hence the period of Apr 24 to Jun 25 being taken up as a year long celebration for the 10 year anniversary.

“Also, I remind you that April 4, 2024, is the 10-year anniversary of the PC/Mac launch, but many of you didn’t join the community until June 2015, at ESO‘s massive console launch. As such, we are considering the entirety of April 2024 through July 2025 as our 10-year anniversary period, and we will fill it as much as we can with special events, retrospectives, and lots of other fun stuff to celebrate you, our community, and the ESO dev team.”

The developer further added that the celebration will have both in-game and real-life events, among which a community event in Amsterdam and an anniversary-themed tavern in Germany in July 13-14 have been already announced.

Interestingly, he also hinted at a Global Reveal show in January, saying  “We are excited to continue the story from last year but in a different part of Tamriel. It’s going to be great, and we have some new systems that I think everyone will want to hear about.”

The commitment of the team behind Elder Scrolls Online to support and keep the game community engaged has been proven with solid and consistent expansions over the years – Morrowind, Summerset, Elsewyr, Greymoor, Blackwood, High Isle and Necrom – these have helped change the initial mixed reaction to the game launch into positive reviews and success.
