Baldur’s Gate 3 Director Swen Vincke is clear now on what will be the Act 1 of his next project – though he is not ready yet to share details of what that project could possibly be about. In a tweet put out on social media platform X, the CEO of Larian Studios mentioned that “Been a great morning! After four months of rewriting and rewriting and abandoning ideas and then revisiting them, finally figured out what act 1 on this thing I’ve been working on needs to be”

He further went to add, and advise developers that the work done on abandoned drafts always helps as that can be recycled when the right story to fit in that draft eventually comes their way. He also made it clear that this is in no way an announcement or a teaser to the project; mentioning “Just am genuinely excited about where this is going and wanted to share some of my excitement. It’ll be quite some time before we talk about this”

Coming on the back off the massive success of Baldur’s Gate 3 – it is great to see the developer team back working on the next project – even though we may have to wait a while to see what shape it takes – till that we can always go back to the sprawling world of Baldur’s Gate 3 for another run
